I was reluctant to add PT to my plate because I was already so overwhelmed. Over the course of just a few video sessions, Helene gave me short and targeted exercises that alleviated or even totally relieved many of my pregnancy aches and pains. These exercises also made me physically stronger and confident leading up to my delivery. “After several spinal surgeries I had finally gotten to a point where I had minimal chronic back pain—and then I had a baby. I tried to cope with that while also dealing with pain at my C-section site and the overall fatigue that comes with having a newborn. But thankfully, I reached out to Helene a few weeks before my maternity leave ended. Not only did she help resolve my back pain through exercises, but she coached me as I got back into Peloton rides, instructed me on C-section scar massage to alleviate my abdominal pain, and reviewed nursing positions and techniques that would help prevent further pain. I was worried I wouldn’t have time for the PT sessions between caring for my baby and (virtually) returning to work, but she was flexible and worked with me when it worked for me. I can’t say enough good things about my experience with Helene, especially as a very new and very overwhelmed mom!”

“With a smile, jokes, and supportive and nurturing attention, Helene helped me move toward my goals. Her sensitivity and knowledge of post-pregnancy exercises at every step allowed me to safely tackle positions and reach benchmarks. I had a lot of pain that lasted for a very long time after my cesarean. She took that into account and made a personalized, in-home workout program for me to follow where I used no equipment, just my own furniture at times. It was perfect for me since it was hard to get away to the gym or take a class while caring for my baby. I grew stronger and she challenged me with increasing the difficulty in the workouts. Not only is Helene a great physical therapist, but she is a wonderful, caring person too!
